Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve

We were able to pass under the highway from the beach to the marsh.  Even though our initial inspiration was this 1.4 mile hike, it quickly became apparent that the locale called for uninformed traipsing rather than following a strict course.  Marshes tend to be my favorite because of all the birds and critters hiding nearby (this one was more wild than Coyote Hills, but more accessible than Grizzly Island which made for a nice middle ground).  We even spotted a doe and fawn in the tall grass.
