Had a great time coiling around the GGP Botanical Gardens early Saturday morning.  It was definitely time for an updated family shoot!  We started out in pea soup fog and within an hour it was sunny and warm. 

Safari West

I discovered Safari West during one of my periodic web searches for great weekend getaways.  It's basically an African safari (open-air jeeps, herds of wildebeests, the whole works), but in Sonoma.

Some of the creatures were REALLY friendly!  A few of us got slobbered on by this little guy.

We witnessed a young bachelor wildebeest get driven out of the herd.

Cooed over some nuzzling zebras...

It was pretty amazing not having any fences between us and the animals!

We just did a day trip this time, but next time I think I'd go for the full glamping experience!

April & Tripp

I had so much fun snapping maternity pics for my coworker this week.  For an after work shoot, the Ferry Building worked perfectly; and, since she's due really soon, I'm glad we got to it before it turned into a newborn shoot!

 

I was a bit miffed when a large, rambunctious exercise group took over the pier.  But, if you can't crop them out of the shot... you may as well embrace the colorful, dramatic dance number unfolding in front of you! :)
