It's that time of year again - annual Tahoe trip! I had 3 fellow non-ski/snowboarders this year, so I was finally able to realize my dream of snowshoeing. So much fun! We picked up some gourmet picnic items, bundled up, and off we trekked. We initially started following a a few snowshoers out in front of us since there wasn't a trail, but after a few minutes set out on our own. We realized it was a little creeper to be ten paces behind another group when there were miles of pristine wilderness in all directions. Hope Valley is absolutely stunning, and luckily, it wasn't until the very end of our hike that 3 out of 4 of us broke through the snow crust and into the river. :)
