Our kittens are opposites in most ways, including their window activities.  Snape creates a curtain hammock to lounge in, eyes half closed; Mini on the other hand sits on her haunches chattering at the birds, alert and smacking her lips.

Multnomah Falls

Hiked the gorgeous Multnomah-Wahkeena Loop; waterfalls everywhere!

Portland

Had an amazing girls getaway last weekend, galavanting around Portland, OR!

Although we didn't plan it whatsoever, it happened to be the annual Portland Rose Festival.  We caught the tail end of the parade in the complimentary blanket swaddled bleachers provided by our hotel, the Benson.  

Luckily we have a few local friends who guided us to the BEST food truck pods (can it get better than grilled cheese and beer?), coffee (stumptown and coava!), and restaurants (Broder and Produce Row were my faves). 

Since we were there during the rose festival, obviously it was a GREAT time to see the International Rose Test Garden.  Everything was in full bloom, and the judges were making the rounds to inspect the flowers.  

The Portland Japanese Garden was right next door to the roses, just as beautiful and with a stunning view of Mount Hood.

Malaga, Spain

Warm evening stroll, wine, tapas, swanky hotel = perfect end to our trip before flying home the next morning.
